If you are staying more than 1 night, you can e mail us by going to our check availability by email page , and fill in the information, and press send, and we will e mail you back as soon as possible.
If you are reserving one night please use the online reservation system, as this will quote you the rates instantly, and you can confirm your reservation online instantly,
If you cancel up to 8 Days before you are due to arrive, there is no cancelation charge, except you loose your booking deposit.
If you cancel between 7 – 3 days before you are due to arrive, there is a cancelation charge for your First nights Stay.
If you cancel 2 or less days, or do not show up your booking will be charged for the full amount of you stay.
With once off incidents like the Volcanic Ash in 2010 / Airline Strikes , we do not charge any cancelation charge as this circumstance is totally out of your control. The week of the Volcanic Ash in April 2010, we lost €3,250 worth of business, and did not charge anyone, as this was a circumstance beyond any guests control.
The majority of our business is reservations, as most guests prefer to have accommodation arranged and reserved, so we have to have a cancelation policy because of this, as if room are canceled and we cannot sell them we would suffer, especially when we would probably have refused business because of your reservation, I hope you understand.

If you picked Room only, the Rate includes all taxes and service charges, you can have Breakfast if you so wish, but that would be extra charge depending on the type of breakfast you want.
Our Breakfast is served from 8.30 – 10ish, if you are departing earlier it is possible to organize breakfast a little earlier, before you reserve just e mail us to make sure we can do it for the time you require.
If you arrive in Kenmare, call into us and we will direct you around to the car park.
You can also park on the street for free after 3.00 in the afternoon until the following morning at 11.00. If you want directions to our car park give us a call at 064 6642317 or +353 646642317 if calling from outside Ireland.
Our Family Room – This will sleep 2 adults and 2 children. As this room has 1 double bed and 2 single beds, it is possible to have an infant in a cot in this Room. Also the rate you see on our online system is the rate for all of you and include Breakfast and taxes.
Our Small Family Room – This will sleep 2 adults and 1 child, as this room has 1 double and 1 single bed . If you would like to book this room, reserve a twin room on this web site, and then email us afterwards to inform us that your child is traveling with you. This is to ensure you do not have a room with 2 Single Beds when you arrive. Also it is not possible to have a cot also in this room
After 22.00 it is expected that parents with children should leave the Bar, but we do not request this as a lot of families come to our bar for food and also to listen to the music, so we have no problems with you staying a little late to listen to the music.
Most guesthouses have a Bar and provide food, so as such you get the facilities of a Hotel without having to pay hotel rates.
A guesthouse is usually a family owned and managed operation, so you have a lot of interaction with the owners, which can be great, as we can advise you on what to do, where to see, while in the area.
Whereas in a hotel a lot of the staff would not be from the area, so they would not be able to advise as much on what to do and see. A Guesthouse, would be the comfort and quality and feel of a small hotel, at a better rate, and also compared to a Bed and Breakfast, you do not feel like your in the way when you are actually staying in someone’s home, feeling awkward in the Sitting Room, as you feel it is not a separate Guest space.
The next time you check out ask for your card, all you do is fill in the times you stay, and when you want to redeem your free night, book as normal, and the night before you check out if you give the card to reception, and they will validate your nights against the nights we have in our system that you have stayed, (you can even back date this if you want), and if you stays are the same as our stays, when you check out the next morning, all you do is pay for the cheapest nights rate.
